Seeking part-time WordPress developer and/or freelancer that is experienced with the Genesis Framework from StudioPress. Opening can accommodate project based pay or hourly rates.
We solely work with the Genesis framework from StudioPress, so applicants must be adept at custom child theme creation from layered PSD files.
Virtual applicants accepted. Freelancers welcome. If you can bust out a great Genesis child theme from a snappy layered PSD file, we really don’t care where you live or if you have a have other clients. After all, collaboration is what makes WordPress awesome.
Quality of work is key. Living in a cubicle is not. Love for website design, WordPress, and the internet is mandatory.
Core Job Responsibilities for WordPress Developer
- Convert layered PSD designs to WordPress child theme using StudioPress’ Genesis framework
- Customize StudioPress child themes per client requirements
- Customize plugin CSS as needed
- Manage the move of websites from development server to client’s live server
- Update client DNS settings at go-live
Desired Skill Requirements
- Strong understanding of the WordPress core
- Experience with StudioPress’ Genesis framework a must
- Knowledge of CSS and PHP
- Knowledge of MySQL
- Understanding of web servers and shared hosting environments
- Understands DNS, MX records, and all the other things that are required for go-live
- Ability to manage project to do list and deliverables in Basecamp
